Marksmen players ‘buy in’ to system and win games

By Thomas Pope, Fayetteville Observer

Fayetteville is one-fourth the way through its Southern Professional Hockey League season, and its play has left little with which to quibble.

Or to size it up another way, with 14 games in the books and 28 points in play, the Marksmen are solidly in second place with 23 points and an 11-2-1 record.

They’re fourth in the league in goals scored, rank second in fewest goals allowed, have spent the least amount of time in the penalty box of any team, and have a sparkling 6-1-0 road mark.
