Mayhem’s Jake Goldowski named Warrior/SPHL Player Of The Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (October 24, 2023) – The SPHL announced today that Jake Goldowski of the Macon Mayhem has been named the Warrior/SPHL Player of the Week for October 20-22.

Goldowski tallied two goals and three assists and was +6 across two games last weekend, leading the Mayhem to their first 2-0 start in Mayhem history.

During Friday’s opening night game, Goldowski assisted on the first goal in the opening period and then what would be the game-winning goal in the third period as the Mayhem put up a five spot in the final frame to ice the contest against Knoxville 7-2. The Thornhurst, Pennsylvania native led the Mayhem to their first-ever opening night win, while also having a career night. The winger collected his first multi-goal game in the SPHL, while also tallying his first-ever three-assist game.

For the season Goldowski, whose five points lead the league, has three assists to go along with a +6 plus/minus.
