Storm’s Michael Moran Named Warrior/SPHL Player Of The Week

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (November 1, 2022) – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) announced today that Michael Moran of the Quad City Storm has been named the Warrior/SPHL Player of the Week for October 24-30.

Moran tallied five goals and one assist and was +4 across three games last weekend, leading Quad City to a pair of wins.

During Friday night’s game, Moran scored what would be the game-winning goal in the first period as the Storm cruised to a 5-1 victory over Vermillion County. The following night, the Milford, MA native struck early as he scored his third goal of the season eight minutes into the game, but it would not be enough as the Bobcats would cruise to a 5-2 victory. Moran took his game to another level on Sunday as he notched his first hat trick of the season and added an assist as the Storm hung on to defeat Evansville 8-5.

For the season Moran, whose six goals lead the league, has two assists to go along with a +6 plus/minus.
