The final game of a stretch that saw the Storm play seven times in eleven nights ended in a 3-0 loss versus the Peoria Rivermen.
Quad City killed off six minutes of Peoria power play time in the first period and emerged from the first twenty minutes in a scoreless tie.
The second period had a similar feel with strongly structured d-zone play leading to poor quality chances for Peoria and the Storm surviving multiple man down sequences including an extended 5 on 3. But with 32 seconds left in the period Kevin Patterson got the Rivermen on the board when an odd rebound caromed away from the traffic in front to the open back door where Patterson was waiting to make it 1-0.
Peoria added two in the third to walk away 3-0 winners.
Peter Di Salvo was the third star of the game and kept his team in it most of the night with some stellar saves on a reported 56 shots.
