Storm Roar Back From Down Three To Win 5-4 In Shootout

Home ice advantage helped the Storm complete an incredible comeback victory Friday night at the TaxSlayer Center.

After a scoreless first period in which the Storm out chanced the Evansville Thunderbolts, the visitors broke onto the scoresheet with the first two goals of the game.

Stephen Gaul got Quad City on the board with a sweet snapshot off a wild carom off the backboards that bounced to him at the top of the slot.  Gaul’s 7th goal in 18 games with the Storm was followed by two more tallies for the Thunderbolts, burying the Storm in a 4-1 hole.
