Birmingham Bulls (1-0-1)
• Birmingham fell to Huntsville in overtime 5-4 on Friday but bounced back Saturday with a 4-3 win over Macon
• Michael Gillespie is tied for second in points after scoring two goals and adding three assists
• Carson Rose scored three goals in two games

Evansville Thunderbolts (0-1-1)
• Evansville dropped a pair of 3-2 decisions to Knoxville last weekend, one in overtime
• Matt Dorsey leads Evansville in scoring with two assists
• Goaltender Cole Ceci stopped 48 of 51 shots in the overtime loss,

Fayetteville Marksmen (2-0-0)
• Fayetteville took both ends of a home-and-home against Roanoke, winning 3-2 in overtime on Friday and 9-6 on Saturday as seven different players scored a goal.
• Grant Loven scored a goal and added four assists last weekend, setting up the OT winner on Friday and recording a four-point night on Saturday
• Reggie Millette netted the overtime goal on Friday, scoring just 38 seconds into the extra period, and finished the weekend with two goals and two assists

Huntsville Havoc (2-0-0)
• Huntsville won both of their games this weekend, taking a 5-4 overtime win against Birmingham on Friday and a 4-1 win against Pensacola on Saturday
• Noah Finstrom scored the overtime goal on Friday to lead Huntsville to their first win of the season
• Goaltender Brian Wilson stopped 32 of 33 Pensacola shots on Saturday

Knoxville Ice Bears (2-0-0)
• Knoxville swept the weekend series at Evansville, winning both games 3-2 (one in OT)
• Defenseman Dalton Skelly earned SPHL Player of the Week honors, notching two goals and two assists in the wins, including the game-winning overtime goal on Friday.
• Cam Tobey scored a pair of goals last weekend while Mitch Atkins added a goal and an assist
• Goaltenders Stephen Mundinger and Talor Joseph each picked up their first wins, combining to stop 67 of 71 shots.

Macon Mayhem (0-1-0)
• Macon dropped their only game of the weekend, falling 4-3 to Birmingham

Peoria Rivermen (0-0-1)
• Peoria fell to Quad City, 3-2 in overtime, in their first game of the season on Saturday
• Alec Baer scored twice in the second period, accounting for all of Peoria’s goals
• Colby Muise made 28 saves in the loss

Quad City Storm (1-0-0)
• Quad City opened the season with a 3-2 overtime win against the defending President Cup champion Peoria Rivermen, rallying from a 2-0 third-period deficit
• Leif Mattson scored the game-winning goal just 14 seconds into overtime and added an assist
• Goaltender Brent Moran stopped 33 of 35 shots to earn the win

Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs (0-1-1)
• Roanoke earned a point in their home-and-home with Fayetteville, falling 3-2 in overtime on Friday and 9-6 on Saturday.
• Tim Kent scored with just less than five minutes left in regulation to force overtime on Friday
• Kent also leads the SPHL in scoring after the first weekend with six points (3g, 3a), including a five-point outing on Saturday
• Jacob Kelly and Gustav Mueller each chipped in with a goal and two assists on Saturday
