SPHL announces suspensions

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (March 6, 2019) – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) on Wednesday announced the following suspensions:

Evansville’s Nick Wright

Evansville’s Nick Wright has been suspended three games as a result of his actions in SPHL Game 218, Pensacola at Evansville, played on Friday, March 1.

Wright was assessed a major penalty for fighting and a game misconduct under Rule 46.2, Aggressor, at 10:36 of the third period.

Wright sat out Evansville’s contest against Birmingham on March 2 and will miss games against Quad City on March 8 and 9.

Macon’s Dakota Klecha

Macon’s Dakota Klecha has been suspended one game under Rule 28, Supplementary Action, as a result of his actions in SPHL Game 220, Fayetteville at Macon, played on Friday, March 1.

Klecha missed Macon’s game against Fayetteville on March 2.

Macon’s Alexander Taulien

Macon’s Alexander Taulien has been suspended three games as a result of his actions in SPHL Game 220, Fayetteville at Macon, played on Friday, March 1.

Taulien was assessed a major penalty for fighting, a game misconduct under Rule 46.2, Aggressor, and a game misconduct under Rule 46.5, Continuing or Attempting to Continue a Fight at the 20:00 mark of the third period.

Taulien sat out Macon’s contest against Fayetteville on March 2 and will miss games against the Marksmen on March 8 and 9.

Fayetteville’s Dillon Kelley

Fayetteville’s Dillon Kelley has been suspended three games as a result of his actions in SPHL Game 220, Fayetteville at Macon, played on Friday, March 1.

Kelley was assessed a major penalty for fighting, a game misconduct under Rule 46.2, Aggressor, and a game misconduct under Rule 46.5, Continuing or Attempting to Continue a Fight at the 20:00 mark of the third period.

Kelley sat out Fayetteville’s contest against Macon on March 2 and will miss games against the Mayhem on March 8 and 9
