SPHL Announces All-League Second Team

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (April 12, 2019) – The Southern Professional Hockey League on Friday announced its 2018-2019 All-SPHL Second Team as selected in a vote of league coaches, general managers and media representatives.

F – Jake Trask, Macon

F – Alec Hagaman, Peoria (tie)

F – Justin Greenberg, Peoria (tie)

D – Doug Rose, Knoxville
D – Nick Neville, Peoria

G – Brian Billett, Pensacola

 

Macon’s John Siemer came in third overall in the league for assists (39) and tied for fifth place for points (55).  He also had 12 power play assists, one shorthanded goal and 139 shots this season.

 

Macon’s Jake Trask tallied a total of 54 points this season, had 27 assists and had a plus/minus rating of +18. He led the Mayhem in goals with 27 and the most game winning goals (8).

 

Peoria’s Alec Hagaman finished the season with 35 assists, 18 goals and a plus/minus rating of +27. Hagaman ranked second on the Rivermen for assists and points.

 

Peoria’s Justin Greenberg came in eighth in the league for points (51). He is tied on the Rivermen for the second most goals on the team (19), comes in third on his team for assists (32) and had one shorthanded goal.

 

Knoxville’s Doug Rose is a rookie who came in second for top point earning defenseman in the league (34). This season, he scored nine (9) goals, 25 assists and scored one short-handed goal.

 

Peoria’s Nick Neville came in third among defensemen in the league for most points (33). He also had 29 assists, four goals and plus/minus rating of +20.

 

Pensacola’s Brian Billett had the fourth most wins in league (19) and third for GAA (2.11). He made 918 saves this season and had the second best SV% (.926).
