HUNTERSVILLE, NC (February 1, 2024) – The SPHL announced today that Alex Laplante of the Macon Mayhem has been named the Warrior/SPHL Player of the Month for January.
Laplante scored 11 goals, including a pair of game-winners, and added three assists in just 10 games for the Mayhem last month.
Laplante recorded a point in all but two games in January, including four multi-point performances. He also tallied a pair of hat tricks against Pensacola (January 5) and Quad City (January 27).
The Londonderry, NH native ranks third in the SPHL with 19 goals, which also leads all rookies. Laplante ranks third in points (30) and power play points (6) amongst first-year players. He is also tied for the most assists in a game this season when he recorded four against Knoxville in Macon’s season opener.
