PEORIA — Jordan Ernst literally is next man up for the Peoria Rivermen.
When Rivermen and SPHL goalscoring leader Darren McCormick left for Europe earlier this month, Ernst became the league’s active leader in goals.
As he likes to joke, let the big dog eat.
“I like hearing that when I score,” said Ernst, laughing. “It’s just a fun thing.”
