Birmingham Bulls (4-1-1)
• Birmingham hosted Macon this past weekend, defeating Macon 4-1 on Friday, while falling to the Mayhem 4-1 on Saturday
• Seth Benson scored his first two goals of the season in Friday’s win
• Austin Lotz stopped 37 of 38 shots on Friday
• After scoring once on Friday, Carson Rose leads the SPHL with eight goals

Evansville Thunderbolts (2-4-1)
• Evansville faced Huntsville in a home-and-home series, falling to the Havoc 3-1 on Friday, but bouncing back on Saturday with a 2-1 win
• Matthew Barnaby scored his fourth goal in four games on Friday
• Cole Ceci stopped 44 of 45 shots for his second win of the season on Saturday

Fayetteville Marksmen (5-1-0)
• Fayetteville secured back-to-back wins at home this weekend, winning 2-0 over Knoxville on Saturday and 4-3 in overtime against Pensacola on Sunday
• SPHL Player of the Week Ryan Kenny stopped all 31 shots on Friday to record his first shutout of the season
• Austen Long scored Fayetteville’s first penalty shot since 2015 to take a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the first period on Saturday
• Ryan Lieth scored in overtime on Sunday, leading the Marksmen to first place in the standings

Huntsville Havoc (4-1-1)
• Huntsville split two games this past weekend against Evansville, winning 3-1 on Friday before falling 2-1 on Saturday
• Robbie Fisher tied Friday’s game at one with just 11 seconds left in the second period. Matt Allen and Benito Posa quickly made the game 3-1 early in the third, leading the Havoc to the win
• Goaltender Mike Robinson made 35 saves to earn the win on Friday, including 15 in the first period.

Knoxville Ice Bears (2-2-1)
• Knoxville dropped their only game of the weekend, falling on the road at Fayetteville, 2-0
• Dalton Skelly is second among SPHL defensemen with five points in five games
• Cam Tobey is tied for first among rookie defensemen with two goals on the season

Macon Mayhem (2-3-0)
• Macon faced Birmingham in a weekend series at the Pelham Civic Complex, falling 4-1 on Friday, before rallying on Saturday for a 4-1 win
• Zach Tyson scored his first SPHL goal on Saturday, extending Macon’s lead in the second period
• Goaltender Bailey Brkin stopped 38 of 39 shots on Saturday

Pensacola Ice Flyers (1-4-1)
• Pensacola earned three points on their weekend road trip to Roanoke and Fayetteville. The Ice Flyers split a pair of games with the Rail Yard Dawgs, winning 3-1 on Friday and falling 7-2 on Saturday before dropping a 4-3 overtime decision to the Marksmen on Sunday.
• Brody Claeys stopped 27 of 28 shots to earn the win on Friday.
• Matt Wiesner tallied a goal and an assist on Sunday to lead the Ice Flyers.

Peoria Rivermen (3-1-2)
• Peoria faced Quad City in a home-and-home series, winning 9-3 on Friday before losing 4-3 on Saturday
• Jordan Ernst recorded the season’s first hat trick in Friday’s 9-3 win before adding another goal on Saturday
• Braydon Baker had a goal and four assists in the series

Quad City Storm (4-1-0)
• Quad City split two games with Peoria this weekend, losing 9-3 on Friday and winning 4-3 on Saturday
• Leif Mattson had two goals, including the game-winner, and added an assist in Saturday’s win
• Mattson and teammate Cole Golka are tied for first in scoring with five goals and five assists this season. Mattson has also scored a league-leading three game-winning goals
• Rookie Jake Maynard leads all defensemen in scoring with six assists this season

Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs (2-3-1)
• Roanoke hosted Pensacola for two games this past weekend, falling 3-1 on Friday before rebounding on Saturday with a 7-2 win
• Six different Roanoke players scored in Saturday’s game, with rookie Gustav Muller scoring two goals and adding an assist. Mac Jansen, Tommy Munichiello, and Owen McDade all recorded a goal and two assists.
• Nick Ford leads the SPHL with six assists this season
