For the 2025-2026 season, the injured reserve will consist of:
– Three (3) open-ended 14-day slots
– Three (3) open-ended 30-day slots
– Unlimited season-ending injured reserve
When placing a player on injured reserve, teams may retroactively date the transaction back to the first day after his last game played (no seven-day limit).
Once put on injured reserve, a player must remain there so that his total time on injured reserve equals a minimum of 14 or 30 full days before being eligible to be activated. Players may remain on injured reserve as long as necessary and do not have to be activated on the first day they are eligible to come off.
