HUNTSVILLE – From the opening drop, the Havoc were in control in the Saturday night contest as they hosted the Quad City Storm in front of more than 5,000 fans.
Huntsville scored 99 seconds in to the game and never looked back, calmly defeating the visiting Storm 5-1 on Melissa George Night – a night where the specialty jerseys the players wore were auctioned off with all the proceeds going to the neonatal intensive care unit at Huntsville Hospital.
“I’m really happy how the team followed up last night’s win with another solid game,” said Havoc Head Coach Glenn Detulleo. “The best part is we were able to raise a lot of money for a great cause. Our fans are amazing and it’s always nice to send them home happy.”
As they entered Propst Arena, fans donated dozens of needed items for the newborn babies in the NICU, and the post-game jersey auctions and signed stick silent auctions brought in more than $60,000.
