HUNTERSVILLE, NC (January 30, 2024) – The SPHL announced today that Buster Larsson of the Huntsville Havoc has been named the Warrior/SPHL Player of the Week for January 22-28.
Larsson tallied two goals, added three assists and was +3 as Huntsville swept the first-place Fayetteville Marksmen over the weekend, extending their record to 7-2-1 in their last 10 games.
After finding themselves down 2-0 midway through the second period on Friday, Larsson found the back of the net with a power play tally to get the Havoc on the board. Larsson would add an assist in the third period as Huntsville would complete the comeback with a 5-4 win in overtime.
Larsson opened the scoring the following night with a goal just 2:16 into the game and followed that up with two assists as Huntsville defeated Fayetteville 6-4.
With his five-point week, the Malmö, Sweden native recorded his fifth and sixth multi-point games of the season. In 16 games with the Havoc, the winger has totaled nine goals, eight assists, and a +6 rating.
