Havoc fall 2-1 on road

SOUTHAVEN, MS - Jonathan LaRose made 26 saves and allowed two goals but it wasn't enough as the Huntsville Havoc fell 2-1 on the the road Sunday afternoon to the Mississippi RiverKings.

Darrell Stoddard gave the RiverKings a 1-0 lead when he found the back of the net with 9:48 left in the second period. Mike Baran had the assist.

The Havoc tied the game at 1-1 with 17:53 left in the third when Matt Smyth scored as Cody Crichton picked up the assist.

Todd Hosmer scored for Mississippi with 4:50 remaining in the game and the RiverKings held on from there.

David Wilson made 21 saves in the win. Both teams were scoreless on the powerplay as Huntsville had six chances and Mississippi had eight.
