HUNTERSVILLE, NC – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Josh McQuade of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Month for October/November.
McQuade, who has twice earned Easton Player of the Week honors this season, currently leads or is tied for the league lead in goals (13), points (24), plus-minus rating (+17), game-winning goals (3) and shorthanded goals (1) in leading the FireAntz to an 11-1 record through November.
McQuade, a native of Grimsby, Ontario, recorded points in 10 of 12 games and had a seven-game point streak. He also had two four-point nights, scoring a goal and setting up three others in an 8-2 win over Knoxville on November 22 and then tallying his first hat trick of the season to go along with an assist in Fayetteville’s 4-2 win over Augusta on November 29.
Now in his second season with the FireAntz, McQuade finished third in rookie scoring last year, totaling 48 points (22g, 26a) in 52 games.
