HUNTERSVILLE, NC – The Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL) today announced Josh McQuade of the Fayetteville FireAntz is the Easton Player of the Week for November 26-December 2.
McQuade scored five goals, including both game-winners, added three assists and had a +5 rating as Fayetteville extended their winning streak to eight games with a pair of victories last week.
On Thursday, the native of Grimsby, Ontario had a hand in every Fayetteville goal in a 4-2 win at Augusta, recording his first hat trick of the season to go along with a second-period assist. McQuade led the FireAntz offense again the following night with a two-goal, two-assist effort in a 6-2 win over Huntsville.
McQuade, who was named Easton Player of the Week for November 5-11, currently leads or is tied for the league lead in goals (13), points (24), plus-minus rating (+17), game-winning goals (3) and shorthanded goals (1). McQuade finished third in rookie scoring last year, totaling 48 points (22g, 26a) in 52 games.
