NEWSDate: May 04, 2010 SPHL Commissioner Promoted, Signed Through 2012-2013 Season
CHARLOTTE, NC (May 4, 2010) - The Southern Professional Hockey League today announced the league's Board of Governors has signed Commissioner Jim Combs to a three-year contract extension and named him league president. "On behalf of the Board of Governors, I want to thank Jim for his hard work and dedication over the past three years," stated Knoxville president and Chairman of the Board Mike Murray. "His efforts in expanding the scope of the SPHL, both on and off the ice, have resulted in new expansion opportunities for the future and a league-wide marketing initiative that will greatly benefit the SPHL and its member clubs."
