The Richmond Renegades today acquired centers RYAN WEBB and KAHILL THOMAS plus defenseman CONNER MACDONALD in the SPHL dispersal draft.  The draft was conducted to allow the six current SPHL teams to choose from the players on the Jacksonville Barracudas.  The Barracudas recently suspended operations for the 2008-09 season.

    The SPHL held a dispersal draft Monday, May 5 in which the rights of players belonging to the Jacksonville Barracudas were dished out to the six remaining SPHL teams. Jacksonville’s franchise requested a one-year suspension of operations last week, and should the team rejoin the league in 2009-2010, the rights of these players will go back to the Jacksonville Barracudas.

HUNTSVILLE, AL – Huntsville Havoc Head Coach, Eric Soltys, chose Jacksonville Barracudas goaltender Tim Haun, forward Frank Furdero and defenseman Billy Rochefort and in the SPHL dispersal draft this afternoon.

Jacksonville Suspends and Dispersal draft is Complete
On Thursday May 1st the board of Governors granted Jacksonville Suspension of operations. 
On Monday May 5th at 2pm a dispersal draft for the Jacksonville players took place.
